WP_20151208_18_45_01_ProDecember saw the Cubs undertake a night hike from the Scout Hut, over the reservoir to Butterley Train Station and then across the fields and up the Coach Road to McDonalds for Chips on the 1st December. The night hike finished off the requirements for the Navigator badge with the Cubs being presented with their badges at our last meeting.

On the 8th December to get in the Christmassy mood we made chocolate Christmas decorations by melting chocolate and getting it to set around some strawberry lace. We then decorated them with the hundreds and thousands and other chocolatey bits. The next task was to create reindeer dust to get the reindeers to stop by our houses on Christmas Eve, we mixed oats, and glitter together, and then wrote a reindeer poem to tie around the top of the bag. Also tonight we were given £5 vouchers from the Committee as a Christmas present.

For our last meeting before Christmas we went bowling in Alfreton at the Genesis Centre and at the end we got presented with the Navigator Stage 1 Badges that we have been working towards since October and also Hikes Away Badges for the night hike we did a couple of weeks ago. Ethan was awarded his Martial Arts badge and our leaders and young leaders were given Christmas presents for all of their help and hard work they have put in since we started in November.
