Hello and welcome to our new website. For those of you who have previously visited the old website, this should be a large improvement for you. This website is designed with mobile devices in mind and will automatically adjust to fit to your device whether it is a mobile, tablet, or desktop computer.
Derwent and Ladybower Beaver colonies now have a page each making it easier to keep up to date with the correct sections.
We have an updated calendar system, split into categories (Group, Derwent Beavers, Ladybower Beavers, Alpha Cub Pack, and the Scout Troop) to make it easier to find activities and events for your section helping to avoid some confusion hopefully. You can find the new calendar on the upcoming events page, there is now the ability to subscribe to our calendar by adding it to your Apple, Google, Outlook, or Timely Calendars making it much easier to get notified of upcoming events. In addition on the sidebar of most pages are links to the next event that is coming up.
To encourage you to engage with us we have embedded our new Twitter feed into the sidebar of the website so you can quickly interact with us.
We have a new news section using RSS allowing you to subscribe to our news articles, again there are categories for each section allowing you to choose the section you want to hear updates about. Each news article also encourages you to engage with us and leave comments for us to share your views with us. In addition there is also the archive section where you can browse through updates since the website has started if there is something you want to read up on. We will beginning to post a monthly Group Scout Leaders report from Ron about what all of our sections have been doing.

We are hoping to add some new features over the coming weeks primarily continuing to add more photos and videos to the site so that you can see what we are doing and creating a newsletter service to help keep you up to date with latest developments.
