The Group held their annual spring fayre event this week at their headquarters on Hill Street. there was a lot going on with a book sale, tombola, raffle, and a cake stall run by our committee, and also stalls run by the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts like guess the sweets in the jar, making mini cross bows and also a coconut shy.

Refreshments were being served by Julie, with ploughmans lunch, sausage rolls, and bacon sandwiches on the menu.

At the end of the fayre the prize draw tickets that have been sold over the past few months were drawn. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and if you have won something we’ll be in contact soon.

The fayre and prize draw was very successful having raised a fantastic£985.40 to help towards ongoing running costs of the group and to fund new equipment for the sections. A massive thank you to everyone who came down to support us, donated prizes and bought raffle tickets, it is very much appreciated.

Don’t forget that you can get involved yourself, the group is looking for enthusiastic adults to help support Scouting in Ripley, especially in relation to a group secretary and section leaders. If you think you’d like to get involved then please email mailto:info@1stRipleyScouts.orgmore information.
