What a blast we had at the family camp 2023! It was amazing to see 91 people of all ages and backgrounds come together for a weekend of fun and adventure at Hesley Wood Scout camp. We did so many activities, from crate stacking to raft building, from canoeing to climbing, from archery to fire lighting, and even inflatables! Everyone had a chance to try something new and challenge themselves. And we also had plenty of time to relax, chat, play games and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
One of the highlights was seeing the Squirrels have their first night away from home. They were so brave and excited. They also did some amazing crafts, sang songs around the campfire and earned their first nights away badges. They were so proud of themselves and so were we!
I want to thank everyone who made this camp possible: the leaders, the parents, the young people and especially Roth for doing the organising. You all contributed to making this a memorable experience for everyone. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait until the next event!
