National Scout Car Races 2015 – Blackpool

Cubs, Scouts and Young Leaders from 1^st Ripley Scout Group have been enjoying themselves in Blackpool over the 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th of July when they went to the National Scout Car Races which was held in Blackpool this year.

8 Cubs, 4 Scouts and 4 Explorer Scouts/Young Leaders took part in the event on the 4^th July racing against Scouts from all over the country around a 400 metre track in friendly competition. After the racing we all went into Blackpool for Fish and Chips and a look around the arcades, beaches and piers.

Next year the event is going to be held in York and the Scouts can’t wait to race again. There are loads of photos on our Facebook page from the weekend and also a couple of videos too.
