Two Cubs, Dillon Ault and Mark Hawley have achieved the Chief Scout Silver Award, the highest award a Cub can gain in Scouting. They were presented with the award at the Annual Ripley and Heanor District Cub and Scout Quiz held at the Headquarters of 1st Ripley Scout Group on Tuesday 3rd March 2015.

To achieve the award both Cubs have had to work hard to get the Creative, Community, Fitness, Global, Outdoor and Promise Challenge badges which are part of the requirements for the Silver Award.

Meanwhile in the quiz the our Cub/Scout teams (two cubs and two scouts per team) did very well against the Cubs and Scouts from Swanwick, Sitwell, Codnor, and Loscoe, with one team finishing in 3rd place and the other in 5th place.

Congratulations to Mark and Dillon on their award and both Cub/Scout teams for their great performance during the quiz.
